    Hi,

    Got one of these
    http://www.smeguk.com/product/wmfabro1/

It has developed a leak and a tapping noise when spinning.

I opened and cleaned out the filter which had loads of stuff in there including some of our washing basket!

I’m guessing bits of the basket may still be in there somewhere and making contct with the drum when spining – running a drain and spin when empty made no noise, but with load the tapping is back.

From what I learnt from our last machine – I will be flipping this upside down tonight and hoping to find a pipe that connects the drum to the filter/outlet.

My question is does anyone have any experience of these machines – common causes of leaks etc?

Is there some sort of service manual/diagram on the internet somewhere?

    Many thanks
    Bryan

    Bryan,

Don’t flip it upside down or you might get water onto the electronics. If that happens expect a loud bang and much expense.

    On service manuals:

Cheers, I will be draining it before tipping in any way!

    There’s always water somewhere. 😉
