smeg wd1 12c / error E14

Just had this machine repaired 2 weeks ago when dryer had stopped producing heat.
Repair man said it had overheated and the heat cut-out switch had been activated – he re-set it for us. (I noted where it was in the top of the machine incase I need to do it one day!). He said this can happen when people don’t let a dryer programme finish – it needs to complete a cycle to cool down properly.

Now the washing programmes are stopping after 5-10 minutes and showing E14 as the error code. Do you think this is a completely separate fault or could it be anything to do with the overheat problem again?

Dryer temperature sensor (NTC thermistor) is faulty – short or out of circuit. This not the safety trip.

I think you need to get him back again.
