    Hi. I’ve just moved house & unpacked my new Smeg integrated washer / dryer. I can’t get the door to open. Unfortunately the instruction book is inside the drum. Can anyone help – is there a specific series of steps in order to release the door mechanism. Hopefully the machine is not dead!

    You may find that the door glass is “stuck” to the rubber door seal 😉

    Try “helping” it as you push the door release button.

    I should have thought of that, but after 12 hours of physical work my brain was functioning as well as the rest of my body!
