Smeg Wdi12c drum

The drum on this machine seems to be out of line and has been chaffing on the door seal, the bearings are smooth and quiet. Is the inner drum available separate? Couldn’t really see where the outer drum comes apart.

outer drum has a removable front plate but the weight is also part of this and is prone to cracking a falling apart. Inner drum and spider are available seperatly but need the serial number to confirm which parts. Double check its a wdi12c only as there are several variants eg: WDI12C1, WDI12C6-1 etc. Dont go on what it may say on the front panel.

Cheers ill get serial no for ordering, this is the 2nd one of these I’ve seen with this fault the last one the customer didn’t go ahead with the repair, I’m thinking it may be a can of worms job ;-(

Just a update for this, the drum spider was cracked, I was dreading doing this but not a bad machine to work on. Downside new door seal, spider and bearing seal was nearly £160 🙁
