Had my WM16aaa for 2 years and now it won’t start – the ‘on’ light comes on but the washine doesn’t start.
I called a repairer (not a very nice chap) he said it was probably the door catch and gave me a number to order a new one and to call him when the part arrived to fit it (£45 for catch and £50 for him to fit).
However, when the part arrived I thought I would have a go at fitting it myself. When I took the old one off it was slightly different from the new one. Having a separate, detachable block with two electrical connectors on it. The problem is that it wouldn’t suprise me if the repair guy took this additional part off and wired it up incorrectly to ensure I called him back.
Anyone know what these switches look like and how to wire it up – what else might the problem be if it isn’t the switch?
