I’m still getting used to our new SMS40C02GB. I’m not really impressed with the generic instruction manual as I’d prefer one which was specific to the machine which I purchased. I can’t be sure if it has a child-proof lock from the instructions – I don’t want to attempt to (slide) the small lever (if that’s is what is pictured in the instruction manual – difficult to tell)but, if anyone knows, I’d be grateful of a hint. However, it does look as though it is going to be a good machine – washing best on eco wash – Cheers – Happy Friday!

To activate, pull the lever outwards and shut the door. To open the door push the lever to the right then open the door. To deactivate, open door first then push the lever inwards. (See graphic illustration below)

thanks – prompt reply! I can’t see a lever as pictured in pic 41 so I guess it’s a no..

Just a well as they can be a source of problems anyway.
