Strange one today – the Bosch sms46iw10g/74 was dead checked main board for any visual issues non found. Checked wiring between switch/control board and the main board with meter everything was joined up. reconnected it and hey presto everything lit up. I started a quick wash, then decided to hold the start button to reset. It did reset but whilst doing so the display went blank and now the machine is dead once more.

Does anyone have any ideas or has come across the same issue,

    Thanks In Advance

It sounds to me like the power supply chip on the main board is internally overheating and going into shutdown, I would change the power supply chip as this is the most likley cause. I have replaced a couple of chips for this issue on this series of dishwasher and it has cured it every time.

    Thanks for the reply

Can you buy just the chip or is it a complete board.

You can buy the chip seperatly, You will need to examine the chip on the board to find the correct part number after which you can usually get them from RS or ASWO
