I’ve got a Bosch dishwasher with the element built into the motor and the element keeps going short to earth. Everything else tests fine on it. Has anyone come across this b4 or no why it keeps happening.
yeah the origonal fault was tripping electrics the heater was short to earth. i canged the motor and half way through the wash the heater went short to earth again. thought it was just a faulty part so changed it again and exactly the same thing happened
just changed one that as blowing trip but on mine there was water from somewhere so I am assuming that was the problem. don’t know how these heaters will react if they come on early ie relay shorted or if the modules are setup to detect it
kept the old motor and intend to strip it to see construction and where its faulty
Very common problem with these machines and loads of posts on the subject. Now if there is a water supply issue ( i.e. insufficient water flowing through pump) the element will quickly overheat and fuse. So the water diverter could be at fault or the heater relay on the power board stuck on, take your pick. 🙁
