ParticipantHello,
We have a SMV69T10GB/18 which won’t start programs unless pressure is applied to the door.
We’ve taken to placing a chair next to it and leaning the handle of a kettlebell onto the door.
Even then, sometimes we have to give the door a bit of sharp push for it to start and it will often stop during the program until we give it another shove. It’s not a specific issue with a single program either.
I think it’s a sensor issue, but would it just be a door sensor issue?
Thanks

Moderatoris the outer decor door catching anywhere ?

ParticipantHello Dave,
I don’t see it catching anywhere and it makes a positive “click” when closing it. How does the door close sensor work? The door itself has a plastic recess where the I assume the latch engages. Is it that or the latch itself that registers the closed door position (or both)? I can’t figure it out.
Thanks

I applied a magnet around the sensor and it activates every time, although it’s over the area behind the sensor slot next to the control panel. Is that where it should be? Or should it be directly over the slot area? Is it a possibility that the magnet has moved (I can’t see how though).

Moderatorhave never had a magnet move yet
you can find out where the magner is by using a peice of steel

Hi Dave.
I replaced the sensor and unfortunately I still the same issue.
Is it possible that the door has become misaligned somehow?
Thanks
