ModeratorI have seen one or two questions about recent Indesit machines in the trade tech forums regarding the latest Indesit machines with the combined console and power board mounted behind the facia. It would appear that the error codes are different for these machines.
I went to a WIA121 today, this machine has a control knob, two option buttons along the top and three vertical neons labelled Wash, Rinse & Spin.
When I switched the machine on the door lock light was illuminated, the top (WASH) neon was on steady and the second (RINSE) neon was flashing.
Obviously requiring codes that we do not seem to have ATM.Fortunately I was able to use of the hardware key and the adaptor plug to connect to the key, purchased at some expense a few months ago. This flashed up F08 as soon as I pressed Auto Test.
Using the highly technical method, I applied a sharp whack to the pressure switch and the machine then went through the test sequence perfectly.
I am on the case and will post up the flashing light sequence for these as soon as I get it. In the meantime it looks as though the key will be the only way to find the fault area.Jim.

KeymasterRe: Sneaky blighters have changed the error lights again.
I have a load of info and this is possibly in it.
Of course Mr Merloni might not be ecstatic that I have this information, but what the hell. 😉
I will try to remember to search it, but there’s a lot, an awful lot, of information to dig through. So long as I can index the text in the PDF’s I should be able to nail it.
I’m assuming you meant to post this with a bit of privacy?

I didn’t want to place any pressure on the very helpful Indesit engineers who do give up plenty of useful advice in the Trade forums as it is.

changed a board and eeprom on one of these today. machine locked into cycle, no error codes and unable to even re-set the programme or turn the machine off without resorting to pulling the plug. New board cured fault and much easier to change than the old ones.
