    Hello,

I have a Samsung RL38SCPS fridge freezer purchased around November 2009.

During the summer I noticed that the items in the freezer compartment, especially the ice were getting covered in a kind of snow. This had not previously been the case. We also had to change the fridge from coldness setting 4 to 5 as we did not feel the fridge was cold enough.

About 4 weeks ago the fridge stopped cooling completely. I searched this forum and found some advice to turn the fridge off for 48 hours and remove the rubber valve located above the compressor in the back. When I turned the fridge back on it worked.

However, I am still getting snow inside the freezer, especially in the ice compartment and top drawer. I am worried the fridge airflow will become blocked again. All the seals in the freezer look ok and I cannot see anywhere air may be entering the freezer. My wife thinks that the top of the fridge is not as cold as it should be.

Does anybody have any ideas what might be causing the snow in the freezer area and how I can fix it?

Many thanks in advance for any help.
