Hi all I’m planning a new kitchen and fancy either Bosch built in double oven or a Hotpoint with the slolarplus grill.

We currently have a Hotpoint EW91 double oven cooker with a solarplus grill and halogen + speedglow hob, it’s now about 3 years old and has been totally reliable.
The solarplus is simply the best grill we’ve used to date, going back to a normal one would certainly be a step backwards IMO.
They are 20-25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} cheaper to run too so I’m told.

Could anyone comment on the Bosh ovens, as there’s not many posts about them.
Also can anyone comment on how reliable and how expensive to repair the solarplus grills are?

As I said ours has been spot on so far, but I’d like some info before I choose.

    Thanks.

    Re: Solarplus grills

The only problem with the solar plus grills are the expensive replacement cost when they fail. Same with the halogen rings.
Dont know of a solar type grill on a Bosch but the fan oven elements have a tendency to fail and the genuine replacement is not cheap. Having said that, most fan ovens seem to be having a high failure rate of elements these days.
