So many variants are coming on the market these days that the standard single, double, triple and quadruple valves for a variety of machines are getting out-dated. 90 degree and 180 degree also going out the window. 🙁
The fact is that little has changed in the overall construction of the valve other than the electro-magnetic coil connections. Many use spade terminal block sockets where only the correct shaped plug will connect. But the more current trend these days is the coil with the micro terminal block using thin ‘phone plug type ‘ crimped terminals. 🙁
The latter being almost impossible not only to check continuity of the coil itself but worse still negates entirely the prospect of live testing in any way shape or form. Adding finally to that the fact that ,many are opting for the ‘screwless’ fitting brackets, easy to install in production maybe but not so easy to release!
I personally cannot see much standard interchangeabilty from make to make and would love to hear of what you guys carry on the van these days to cover and hopefully overcome this modern day problem?
