Solved – AEG Lavamat 74335 won’t start (EWM2000 pcb)

On any pgm, you press Start (red light now continuous), door locks, pump runs for five seconds. Then it aborts – Start flashes red, doorlock light goes out (you can hear the relay on the PCB open as well) and that’s all it will do. Just 5 secs of pump, then abort.
(No water in machine, pump is clear, water turned on, etc.) “

For the info of the forum, this was resolved by fitting a new analogic pressure switch. (It gave Error 34 on the diag program). It would appear that this control board (EWM2000) which is fitted to lots of AEG and Zanussi machines in various versions, does a rapid test cycle when “start” is pressed, and was finding that the two pressure switches were giving different readings.
