ParticipantPartmaster.Talk about crazy prices for spares!
Baumatic washing machine model BWMI1206.
As you will know this model is really a Hoover but can be bought under the Baumatic and Lamona labels and probably others too.
Based on the above model but seemingly made before FEB 2012 from what I can gather, so here are some ridiculous bowel trembling price of spares from the Partmaster site.£150.14 for a door seal
brush motor £1386.29
element £148.09
intergrated door hinge kit £273.14
rubber foot £63.01
drum pulley £150.14
programmed pcb £526.31.The question is: why / how come?. You have to get to page 6 onwards. Your thoughts on the matter please because it is confusing the hell out of me.

Too right. Bloody crazy lot Partmaster. Came across a door seal for a White Knight washing machine listed at £100. Its for a Vestel for Godsake! These are less than 22 quid retail. Are the British public being ripped off? Of course they are unless they know where to go and where to look, and who will be repairing their machine without fleecing them.
I`ll give you a non appliance example. Near where I live in the Chiltern Hills where most Sunday pub lunches are £12 to £18 and they vary from basic and small portions to small arty farty portions of grub. Just been today to The Carriers Arms at Watlington smack at the foot hills of the Chilterns. Had a lovely large pork dinner, proper veggies, proper off the bone pork for £6.95, t`other half had the same but a smaller dinner at £4.95. Fantastic quality, at a fantastic price. A great, clean, friendly but rough around the edges kind of pub; not up its own bottom with great beer choices too, its a free house.
And the point is I will go back a fourth time because I feel I have not been fleeced and I like the bar staff and punters. Back to appliances. If I bought a 100 quid door seal then found out it was 20 quid elsewhere I`d feel really p*ssed off and there is nothing worse than me feeling or anyone else feeling fleeced; corporate idiots Partmaster they really are the limit!September 10, 2017 at 3:55 pm #450313iadom

Think someone needs to go to Specsavers, or get the decimal point in the right place.;)

A lots of sites hike prices the more you surf. Regularly clear your history and cache. Reboot you router to get another ip address also helps. A couple of weeks ago I was buying a tap that was £87. I went back to it about 30 minutes later and it was £117…on the same site!! I checkced my phone and it was £87. Cleared everything and the price was back down to £87.
