    Hi,

I just took a load of laundry out of my Hoover Six AAA Whisper 1400 Washing Machine and noticed they were more dirty coming out than going on.

After investigating and checking and cleaning the filter (which wasn’t dirty)
i found that the dirt was coming from between the door seal and drum, i’ve cleaned it as best i can, but there still seems to be some left no matter how much i clean it.

I would be very grateful of some advice as to whats caused it ?
and what i can do about it ?

    Thanks

    Steve

A good clean out and service wash will cure most of those problems. Try this like for more tips 😉

If this a substance like scum the the best way to keep your machine clean is to do a boil wash once a week either with towels or tea towels or just empty without adding soap powder or conditioner.

If the mark is like black mould then it is actually mould caused by the cold and damp and low temp washes.

if you carry out the boil wash as above then this will nrmally keep your machine clean and bacteria free.

    hope this helps

Thanks for the quick replies 🙂

It is like a black mould, and usually we are doing 40 – 50 degree washes and using the quick wash option.

I’ll try a regular boil wash and see if that does the trick.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Steve
