Sorry another hotpoint mistral question

Hi

I have been reading for the last hour and still no wiser.

I have a Mistral plus ff appliance(don’t have the model no. label is off it ff7292 i think) yesterday noticed that both compartments were rising in temprature, so cleaned out the fins at the bottom defrosted for 8hrs(no water found when defrosting).
Started up display flashed P1 for a second interior fan kicked in for a second but stopped after that,and everything seemed to start normally now freezer sits at normal temp, but fridge is still at room temp.

Question, did i defrost for long enough and if so is there any way to test the thermistors for faults or bypass them to get the interior fan running, or do i need to order the 2 of them ?
