You may have noticed that the WTA has been very quiet for some years. Since COVID stymied the world, really.
After we all retreated to our caves for more than a year at that point in time, the WTA was back-burnered by all involved as, frankly, we all had more important things to deal with.
Then the slog back from COVID began and before you know where you are, it’s three or so years on.
All the while things were just left. A lot of things and some we’re only finding out about now as we revisit the TA.
For example, the website’s SSL had expired, and nobody knew about it because, as we’ve now found out, nobody has been getting WTA emails. 🙁
Both those are in the process of being sorted out but it looks really bad and I’ve had the unenviable task of (on just one email address) sifting through over 3000 emails the past while. I’ve got PTSD from it I reckon.
This is because one person thought another person was dealing with each of the emails, and nobody has clocked that nobody was getting anything!
It is being worked on and it will get there but it’s gonna take a little time to sort it all out I’m afraid.
The plan is to get things on the go again very soon as we’ve got a fe things to be doing however, we need to sort out all this stuff first of all.
