KeymasterCan anyone tell me please where I can get a replacement energy regulator for a Diplomat E1000 electric cooker model APL 5741. The name and address of the manufacturer would be very helpful.

John, Diplomat is a brand name of MFI. You can contact them at any of their stores, they will give you the spares telephone number.
If you get stuck, please reply and I’ll let you have the number when I am in the office.
😀 Are you frustrated because of the problems obtaining this part or for some other reason 😉 😆

Hi FJ – There are three listed energy regulators listed for this range cooker. Item 705 is listed as 081752101 & 082057300 and may be interchangeable. Item 706 is listed as 082211100. This appliance is made for MFI, if you can ident the bit you need further I or one of the other MFI network members can get it for you. Hope that helps you, if not send me a PM and I’ll see what we can cobble together. Bonz

Thanks to you both for your quick reply. (I’m only frustrated at not being able to find the manufacturer Dave). In fact after trawling the internet I sussed it out as MFI just after I posted the query to you.
I have no further info except that the energy regulator is to control the Grill element. The original item is missing – some prat has taken it out and taped up the leads. I think the cooker is about 4-5 years old. The model is APL 5741.
Is there anywhere I can buy this part on line? I am in Crewe but the cooker is in Hexham so I can’t examine it again readily before I go to fix it.

I’ll check out the part tommorrow for you. The only problem I can forsee, if the part has been removed and the leads taped up, are they labelled ? I’m not sure if I can sort the wiring diagram out for you.
Anyone else have one ?
Dave.

Thanks very much. I have the wiring diagram in the handbook. Should be no problem. Grill element checks out OK.
