I have deleted PigironMon from the new today list three times in the past week, e-mail addy flags up pages of spam/bot warnings.

Okay, I know what the score is now.

reCaptcha has been cracked by hackers basically and was in October, there are multiple reports of spambots getting past the captcha now on Google Groups so, we’re not alone. It is affecting a lot of things, including phpBB and vBulletin based forums.

reCaptcha is a thing Google does and they’re supposed to be working on a fix but, until that’s released, we’re on zapping spammers again for a bit. 🙁

Sorry, not much I can do about it.

I’ve removed most of the banned accounts and spammers from the database. If anybody did accidentally get deleted then I’ve got a complete backup of the database so they can be restored if necessary.
