Hi, we’ve had a bit of a mishap with hot fat igniting under the grill of our “Cookers” brand electric oven and slightly burning the top front of the oven (which was already a little bit stained, so we’re not too worried about that – we also don’t think this is replaceable) and also the oven control knobs.

We’re urgently looking for replacements, but can’t seem to find any online due to the generic nature of the brand name. If the part itself isn’t made, we’d be happy with just something which looks authentic. We’re looking for WHITE oven knobs for:

    • Timer (turning clockwise, up to 60 minutes for the full 360 degrees)[/*:m:27sw5rul]
    • Temperature (turning clockwise, up to max (250 degrees celsius) at about 300 degrees of the circle)[/*:m:27sw5rul]
    • Selection (turning clockwise, first selection = light, second selection = oven, third selection = grill, fourth = off)[/*:m:27sw5rul]

I’m hoping that, even if the parts are no longer made, the knobs themselves would be generic enough to be replaced as they use the normal D shaped attachment.

I’d be very very grateful if anyone could offer a little guidance, thanks in advance. Also, if anyone could recommend a way to cover up the charred front of the oven (above the door – paint perhaps? non-flammable obviously), that’d be much appreciated too.

EDIT: I hope I’m okay posting this in two places, for more visibility.

EDIT 2: Pics added. Even if the model is not the same, could a similar (and practical) set work?

    Hi

Have deleted the duplicate thread as it can get confusing for anyone trying to help if the topic gets spread over two or more topics for the same thing. It also helps to keep the forums tidy.

For the control knobs yeas there are generic knob kits out there google search here gives some choices.

For genuine if they are available Dave in the shop may be able to help if you give him the model number, the same for the control panel. An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get the ball rolling.

    HTH 🙂

Thanks Don! That does indeed help – I’ll get in touch with Dave.
