    Hi All,

My AEG 65300 K touch sensitive ceramic hob no longer switches on. I guess the PCB control circuit board has died. Does anyone know the part number for the PCB and how much a replacement part would cost?

    Model: AEG 65300 K
    Serial number: 14306484
    Product number: 949 485 635
    Year purchased: 2002

    Many thanks…

    Jamie,

    It’s over £200 !!!

Are you sure it isn’t simply that you have used the wrong cleaner on the ceramic glass 😕

Tip: Clean entire surface with a mild solution of washing- up liquid and water on a J cloth, then dry off completely with a paper kitchen towel. Then rub over with a clean/dry tea towel and try it again

    Fingers crossed 8)

Thanks for the reply Martin. Being the curious type, I removed the glass top, blew some dust out of the touch sensitive pads and re-assembled. I managed to turn one of the cooking zones on for about 10 secs before it cut out again. I tried the on/off button again, but no response again.

I guess £200+ for the part doesn’t make it worth replacing. Think I might change to gas!!

I’ve used the same cleaner for 2+ years, but I will try your tip as a last ditch attempt.

    Thanks,

    Jamie
