Spares for Candy Hob PL330

I have an old (10 yrs +) Candy Hob, model no. PL330 (4 electric plates) and one of the plates has just stopped working. Is it possible to get spares for this hob? Cheers, Ian.

Yes, you can still get the spares.

It will most likely be the switch that controls the plate if it just stopped working, that is around the £35 mark, the plates can be replaced by universal types at around £25 each.

If you need an engineer to check for you, check repairs@ and the directories, if you’re going to have a go yourself, disconnect it 1st from the supply ! :zap:

hi.

seems i cannot return the switch part if i don’t use it. how can i be sure that the problem is the switch rather than the plate itself?

i am happy to try and test the circuit if i can, but should i be looking for any physical damage?

is there any way i can test the plate to see if it requires replacing before i order the parts? i presumke i can measure heating element resistance?

Correct – power off first……… Your multimeter can also be used to check whether the regulator is switching or not.
