Split Bosch tacho magnet. Motor p/n 142122

Got another one of these with the magnet split neatly in half.
If I find a similar motor on ebay will I be able to get the magnet off and stick it on this one without breaking it?
BTW, this gave the dreaded jump down from 8′ to 1′ on spin.

managed to do this swop once had to grind the bearing off the donor motor after covering the magnet in insulation tape ( no room for a puller )

Uhmm. Sounds like lots of fun. Any idea if the magnets vary much; I don’t suppose they’re all the same size ❓

only did one so cant quote on magnet size

magnet was on plastic frame that slides on shaft and the bearing goes on after it

europart £92 plus vat and carriage
not in stock though so you would have to check price is current

Thanks Dave. Customer doesn’t mind waiting a week or so. I’ve got a couple of lines out on second hand ones; just waiting for a bite. Then I might get the satisfaction of finding out whether I’m skilled enough to do the magnet transfer if I get one that doesn’t fit right away. 😉 .

To wrap this one up.
Missed the auction but sent seller a note and he agreed readily to my offer of a fiver and I arranged the courier.
Motor arrived a couple of days later half hanging out of a shoe box with the lid taped on with four 4″ lengths of parcel tape :rolls: .
Anyway, went back yesterday and completed the job, motor turned out to be 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} the same as the original and fitted and functioned perfectly.
So no fun with the angle grinder but a very happy customer and one less to the scrapper.
