Apologies for not having the complete model number.

The drain hose on my Dishlex DX303 has split. It had been clipped to the inside of a kitchen cabinet using pipe clips that were too small – by the house’s previous owner. The clips have nipped and split the drain hose at 4 points. 3 of the splits are in an extension hose which I have a replacement for. The other split is in the drain hose from the dishwasher.

If I cut out the length of hose that has the split I will lose the rubber fitting at the end – so it then won’t fit into the extension hose.

It feels like it should be a really simple fix, but I just can’t get my head around something appropriate. 😳

    1. Is it possible to repair the split in the hose?

    2. If not, and the split has to be cut out of the hose, how do I then connect the end (now without the rubber fitting) to the extension hose?

    3. Is there a third way – replacing the dishwasher’s drain hose?

    Thanks for you help.

Had a moment of perspiration with a couple of hose clamps and length of 3/4″ copper pipe. All sorted (hopefully).

    Thanks.
