I’ve never used anything on it and not had a leak.

So why did they bother to glue it in the factory?

It won’t leak much if you don’t glue it and won’t fail within the 90 day warranty 😉

I always glue it in but I am a perfectionist.

Re: spout on servis door gasket

I do these on a reasonably regular basis – two blocks of flats with one in each. I haven’t had a PLI claim yet and don’t intend to. For the sake of an extra couple of minutes, not worth the hastle. Also, the last batch of seals I’ve used the rim around the spout was not as large as the original and doesn’t feel as though it would hold by itself.

I’ve no doubt it would be fine without debor and respect your choice not to use it. I’m just a bit of worrier and like to sleep at night. 😉
