Hi can someone please tell me the following error code on my fridge freezer model SRC 2028CVW please.
The top digit of last 8 (on the fridge side) on digital display blinks. No other light or digits are displayed. No buttons on either side of teh digital display work.
The fridge freezer just stopped all of a sudden. Have tried switching it off now for 5 days bust still the same issue on plugging it back in. The light inside the fridge works but there is no cooling. The freezer is also not working.
Bought the fridge freezer in around 2004 from John Lewis.
what is required to fix the above issue? is it an easy / cheap fix?
Really need help as soon as possible as have been without a fridge for a week now.

The wire’s on the ice maker sensor under the ice tray will be broken.
You can sometimes solder them together but it is better to replace the sensor or icemaker.

No it was not the icemaker issue – the problem was Defrost issue – see following url for detailed answer

The link answer is for a different fault, display fault is for the icemaker.
