SRL551DP Samsung Fridge with “quick cool” randomly on/off

Hi,

I have a SRL551DP Samsung Fridge with “quick cool” randomly turning on and off with buzzer also activated.

It takes a day or two before it stops this “on” and “off” cycle. Then the error reoccurs sometimes after 3 weeks or so, or at times it manifest itself after two days.

I have also noticed that the temperature adjustment buttons does not response at all, both for the freezer and the fridge. I have already dismantled the control panel to look for “whiskers” and cleaned the contacts that might short the buttons, I did not find any.

I have tried resetting the system by pressing the “quick freeze” and “quick cool” buttons simultaneously. Still does not correct the problem.

No error code is being display on the panel on the self diagnosis function.

I have replace the main pcb board, but still the error persist.

My suspect now is that it might be related to the defrost cycle.

I was wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem and how they go about fixing it.

Also if anyone has a service manual for this model will be greatly appreciated.
