An interesting idea indeed if it can get enough support.

I too have registered my support. Try also contacting ‘Gatsoman’ if you live in the Midlands.

Yes, I just registered my support as well, not that I ever break the speed limit anyway 😈 just to show unity 😉

I should not have a problem though as I do not think my little run a round is capable of much more than 30mph downhill with a following wind. 😉 But hey if it means that motorists may have to pay out less, then you can count on my support 😀 . Have registered my support

    Re: Starve The Cameras

This really is the pits. Drive “even more carefuly in Febuary” isnt that the point of the cameras anyhow?
So what if it is a revenue earner anyhow? It would only be more on your council tax anyhow and if it funds other police activities well all the better.
If you get flashed by a camera its only your own fault and why anyone thinks they are above the law is above me. The 30 limits are there for a reason.
We have turned into a nation of lazy car users, just stand outside my local bank for 10 minutes and see the drivers park on the double yellow to use the cash machine even though free, legal parking is available on the opposite side of the road just to save the extra 10 walking steps. And that is also the reason you cannot park your van in order to work as the space you would have had is taken by some no nothing who is too much of a snob to take the bus.
More congestion charging, traffic wardens, and speed enforcment.

= higher costs to us poor saps that work in large cities in the main.

There’s pros and cons to both sides of the argument and in the end it will be down to politics at Whitehall that govern all this.
