Stoves 900DFA, model no. 059056601, serial no. 002062

The main oven thermostat Tstat,stat type 43THC83/HO (Stoves part no. 082269300) is no longer manufactured. Has an alternative thermostat been identified that can be successfully fitted to the 900FDa range cooker?

I see there are some universal thermostats available from UK Whitegoods, but don’t know if any of these is suitable.

Would be interested to know if you managed to fit a replacement thermostat?
I have a Stoves 900DFa Cooker in very good order, other than the thermostat has packed up. Details:
Model No: 059056600
Serial No: 40463940
Part No: 082269300 (43THC83/HO)
Can anyone out there fit a kit, different thermostat to this or have a universal thermostat that would work? We are in post code HP14 – High Wycombe

So far as I can see that thermostat is obsolete with no alternative available I’m afraid.

Hi I have been looking around for about a week for the oven thermostat part number 43THC83/HO with no joy did any of you guys find a supplier or a alternative thermostat mine is model no. 059056600 but as you can see the part number is the same as yours

The only stat that shows up as available for that cooker is this one:

But, that is using the original model of 059056600 and it sis an EGO 55.17069.090. It is possible that this is a suitable alternative but I can’t see that as Stoves service info is, will we say, not wonderful.

The original 082269300 is definitely completely obsolete so unless you happen across someone with one of the shelf you’re not going to have any joy as none of the major suppliers have any.

Cheers Kwatti I was looking at that thermostat as an alternative but two things I am unsure about one being the bar for the knob doesn’t look long enough to put the original electric switches that fit on it and come though the front of the cooker to fit the knob on and the other is if the wiring on the back being different don’t want to blow anything. I know there is only three wires two of which go on the same connection and one on another.
