    Hi all,

I have a Stoves 900EF Double Oven, Model No 059040404 that has the following symptoms:

    1. Erratic main oven temperatures.
    2. Thermal switch kills the grill.
    3. Fascia and knobs get extremely hot during use.

After much searching on the web and finding out that this thing has a cooling fan I pull the oven out to find the fan is stationary. Have checked supply to fan and found this to be dead, so assume that the PCB that looks like it supplies it is at fault but with no diagrams or way of testing further I’ve come to a halt. The PCB has APCO and part no D9751 marked on it.

    Any help / advice appreciated.

If its a small black fan on the back the chances are its the cooling fan, if its a biggish cooling fan down on the bottom right (as you are looking at it from behind) hand side it will be the resistor that is burnt out (note the word “will” and not “might”).

The fan is at the bottom right. Is the resistor in the fan, on the control board or mounted elsewhere?

Its mounted between the pcb and connector block that the fan also connects to. You will need to note the resistance too as stoves used around 5 different resistances in different cookers.
