stoves built under gas oven/grill

I have been to repair a stoves builtunder gas oven/grill. Ignition spark was very weak, so i replaced the spark genorater which cured that problem, but once the oven or grill are lit the automatic spark never switches off until you turn the oven/grill off. I understand once the burners are lit the flame completes the circuit and the spark stops. Any ideas.

Are you a Gas Safe registered tradesman then?

Hi, I employ a gas safe engineer for the gas side of my buisness but this repair is electrical.

Anything done to ignitions must be done by a gas engineer.
