Stoves Cooker Cuts Out After About 1.5hrs See Photos

Hi,

After the cooker cools down it begins working again.

I understand the ‘over run’ pcb may be the likely cause, which one is it for sure – see photo. I have labelled the one I think it is but would like it confirmed.

Does the cooling fan engage immediately on switch on or once a certain temp is reached?

Would someone educate me re the white resistor in the cooling fan live input – why is it there. See photo.

The fan motor has a cct through it so I am assuming it is ok.

Any other insights welcome.

unit operates as follows-oven or grill switch feeds the fan control board after a short delay the fan is powered by the board via the resistor then continues until oven and grill turned off and the FIXED delay has expired,the common faults we have found for no fan run are resistor open circuit (its in there to reduce the power of the fan) or fan board fault which seems to always be the capacitor,

Can you kindly confirm the one I have marked ‘over run’ PCB is what you describe as the fan board.

And…

If possible, do you have a part number for the board.

yes that is the board marked and i can get part number 4 you tomorrow but the cap is a awful lot cheaper but its up to you
