    Hi ,
I am really struggling to find a impeller for my Stoves chimney cooker hood .
There appears to be none for any of the Glen Dimplex cooker brands on internet.

Model is a Stoves ST S1000 Sterling.
    Model SKU: 444410239
    Barcode serial number : 90400073444410239
At the bottom Glen Dimplex Prescott Merseyside.

Stoves do not sell them as spares but I am assuming they are made in Merseyside.
Stoves can sell me a motor assembly for £464 which is disgusting as I can buy a complete new hood from AO for £177.

Someone makes impellers for Stoves for them to put in new units.
Anyone have a idea where I can get a impeller or are aware of another brand that uses the same part.
Many out there look similar such as some Faber impellers and a Airone impeller on a Italian website has pretty much the same dimensions with a great video of it being measured with a vernier but they don’t deliver to U.K.
I cannot find that impeller in U.K. .
Unfortunately U.K. suppliers do not have dimensions on there websites and if nothing comes up via the hoods data sticker then the part cannot be available.
    However somebody made them !
    Help and info greatly appreciated.

No, so far as I know they don’t make any hoods at all, they’re all bought in and badged.

They only sold that as a complete motor unit and you’ll find that, if they don’t split it down, then that’s the way that whoever built it for them does it and they’ll all be the same. And, as it’s a complete unit there will be no information on any part of it at all, you see the complete unit and that’s it, nothing else.

I don’t know who made that hood for them but a number of parts are obsolete so I wouldn’t advise spending that sort of money on it, it’s not worth it.

    Thank you .
Looking at product spec on AO website for a new identical chimney hood it states it is made in China .
If a new impeller cannot be found which is daft really a complete replacement hood is £177 so a no brainer buying a motor but there is also a virtually identical Stoves hood with a different model name available on AO for £99. The only difference is the fact it has a chrome rail on it that mine does not have. So I could buy either of them and would have a source of spares (other than impeller) if it went wrong as I can use my old one for parts which has only been used about 5 times due to it being in France and installed just before lockdown and not being able to get there due to Covid for a couple of years. The house is very slowly being renovated on a real diy beer money shoestring and it was a rogue stone that fell into the hood from above that killed the impeller earlier this year.

Even so, before I buy a hood if anyone has a good source of a impeller please let me know .
    Thank you.

I’d not bank on the internal parts being the same, the change all the time. There’s no way to be sure that will be the case.

Other option is buy a completely different brand but that will not be £99. Whatever I buy I will be doing so just because I cannot obtain a £30 impeller.
Any idea what reliable brands do have a good spares back up ?
    thank you

    For cooker hoods, Elica.

Personally, I’d not use much else unless there was no other option, as they’re good, work properly, and actually extract stuff and you can get parts and support for them.
