Stoves EFa900h Top Oven

The Top oven and grill do not seem to reach temperature, only the left hand side of the grill glows red and will not even toast a slice of bread, the oven itself gets hot but the indicator lamp never goes out and it does not seem to get to the temperature of the bottom oven.

Any help appreciated.

this could be 2 faults

first off try the top oven. with the door open turn on the top oven. then check both elements are getting warm. there are 2 elements, element 1 is the grill element which you can feel and see. Element 2 is under the floor so you have to feel the floor and make sure it gets hot and not just radiated heat from the top element

Just an update, the above fault turned out to be the top element, when measured all looked OK but when I removed it and examined closely there is a crack which I think is causing a break as the element heats up, anyway replacing the element has cured the problem.
