    Hi Everyone
my oven seems to be overheating, I’ve set the temp to 180° and placed an oven thermometer inside , its saying 250°, I’ve disconnected the temperature sensor , it was reading around 500 000 ohm’s, I placed the sensor into a cup of boiling water and it dropped down to next to nothing , with the sensor unplugged the oven display says “error 1”, other sources say the resistance range on the sensor should be 1000 -1200 ohm’s, I was wondering if the sensor was broken or if it could be another issue, control board for example. Any help would be much appreciated

since this seems to be electronic control i would check the relay on the control board to see if its short circuit

    Hi Electrofix
thanks for the advice, I’ve taken the control board out, no signs of overheating or damage, relay resistances are all over 1MG ohm on the 16a relays while de-energised, I’ve plugged it all back in and its started working. I’ve ordered a new relay and temp sensor just in case. Thanks for the help
