anyone had to change a Invensys oven stat on a stoves yet? Original obsolete, kit to replace it includes….(deep breath)
new main oven stat
new top oven stat (for inexplicable reasons)
main oven switch
top oven switch (for inexpl….)

is it really nesesary to change the top oven stat as well?Re: stoves Invensys thermostat!
correct Chris, did the job today a most unsatisfactory repair solution given that the main oven knob now works in the opposite direction so to turn off you have to go through the highest temps and the defrost position is now just after the 240 degree mark. Why could they not just get some new original type stats made.
Beware anyone undertaking these, its £90 all in as well and thats for the part only.
