    Hoping someone here can help…..

I’ve just moved into a new house and have since discovered the Stoves appliance we were so looking forward to using is broken.

We have had the engineer out from Stoves who has told us it is beyond repair.

I’ve been looking for 2 weeks with no success and just wondered if anyone knew where I could find one.

The main issue is that the space is just 800mm wide and there is only one new model (that I can find) that will fit (Stoves Sterling) – but this is too modern in appearance for our kitchen.

Ideally, we would find an 800 DFDOm, but if not, something of a similar style would be ideal.

    Thanks,

    James

The engineer actually visited us from Stoves and said someone had tried to rewire the back and it was unfixable for safety reasons.

We then managed to find one on ebay – got it home and everything seemed fine. Oven was working, which was great.

After a couple of days, we noticed the gas wasn’t as powerful as the previous one. Had a Gas Registered guy come out and we’ve now found that the new one runs on bottled gas – according to Stoves it can’t be converted.

We don’t know what to do – really at the end of our tether.

The old oven (where the hob worked fine) has been scrapped – I’ll go back to my hoarding ways (much safer).

    Any suggestions would be awesome.

If they didnt state it was lpg then you are entitled to your money back from whoever you purchased it from, was it left connected by the gas safe engineer ?
