Hello, this is my first post.

I have a Stoves/Newhome dual fuel range cooker, model 1100DF, in green enamel with brass fittings.

It’s situated in France, so I can’t get at it at the moment.

Youngest lad has just visited the property though, and reported that the fan oven was dead. No light, no fan, no heat.

    Everything else worked perfectly.

Can anyone advise as to a possible cause/problem and how to rectify?

Thanks in advance for any help.

usual fault with no fan , no heat is the timer/clock not set correctly. look at clock, digital or analogue and a) if digital set it to any time, make sure it is not on timer for delayed cooking …usually it shows a hand symbol or a steaming pot on the display. b) if analogue check to see if the clock is set to timer off. hope this helps

So are you saying that if it hadn’t been set to show the correct time, it might affect the cooker?

It’s always my first job once I get there and switch on the power, to set the oven clock to the correct time. The lad wouldn’t know how to do it, however, and I forgot to tell him :rolls:

Thanks for the response. I had visions of having to strip it down to find a poor connection in the control knob……… 😥 Hope it does turn out to be summat simple.

just a note…the clock does not need to be set at the correct time just needs to show a time…only need correct time if you want to set cooking time….either start/finish time or oven to come on when you are out and you need the food cooked for a set time…ie, you come in and the food is cooked ready to serve.
hope you can sort it easily

Thanks Richard, I’ll have to wait until I go out on the 22nd to see what’s what.
