Stoves oven coming on when off

Model DF55osi. Customer said she came down in morning to find thermastat light on and oven warm although switch was off. When i got there to check it out, after switching the oven off the light did come on for a few seconds while the switch was in the off position, but i couldnt get it to do it again while i was there. She said it had done this a few times before. Is this common and just a case of a dodgy stat switch or something else? Dont do many cookers.

Possible stat out of calibration. At “Off” the oven switches itself “on” until it gets to 30-40C and then cycles at that temp. New stat should sort it .

I’ve had this with brand new stat’s out of the bag, in off position switch is made but as soon as you turn it slightly clockwise it goes open circuit & then closed again.
So much for quality control.
