The oven temperature is controlled by what they call an oven thermostat. Whoever you choose to correct the fault that thermostat will need to be replaced.
The reason for the last question is that I had a similar problem with a Neff electric oven where the thermostat portion of the control had detached itself from the spindle so the setting on the dial was having no effect…..Just a thought; hope it helps

As no model number is given I have to assume it’s a gas oven, as such we would recommend a repair by a gas safe engineer as we are unable to advise on Gas repairs in these forums.
