Stoves Q600 Dw errors

I’ve been working on a Stoves Q600 DW, error faults E1 & E2 come up on it now & again, i’ve checked water inlet etc, even reset water parameters to allow longer to fill, it always works o.k when i’m in the house but throws up this fault after a few weeks, Any ideas or advise would be appreciated.

Smeg error codes lucky you !! 😉

E1 Is water in the base, anti-flood device activated

E2 Is Overfilling.

Both are normally caused by the air break unit. There is a kit available for these to rectify the problem. The part number is KIT22LTEC which now supersedes to 900992 (Smeg part numbers).

From experience this does not always solve the problem, but generally this should do the trick.

Cheers Dave for that, funny thing is thats the first thing i checked . for float switch problem or water in base, but base of machine is bone dry & float switch looks o.k,,

Good fun these are, I have had the same, the base is bone dry yet the F1 error still comes up intermittently, the only other thing once the air break kit has been replaced is a possible intermittent control pcb fault, or timer as Smeg call it.

I think generally the air break seems to cause a time out error on the pcb, someone else may have a more in depth knowledge of these.

Any long term Servevast agents out there got any other ideas ?

the problem on the early side tanks was that the design was poor and did not allow for the influx of water from the regeneration container above.When going into regen the small volume of the tank where the anti-flood hose was positioned did not allow for the expantion of air and the anti-flood would twitch enough to trip the system.

The cure on early ones was never successful and the next generation raised the inner chamber the tank by approx 10mm, this was the answer and Smeg were aware of this many years ago as somewhere I have a report done to find a solution to the problems of E2.
