Streaks on door of dishwasher

Hello.

I have a Bosch dishwasher SGS46E22-GB which is about 1.5 years old.

The dishes seem clean but I get whitish streaks on the door after it has finished. They are not terribly mucky but I figure the same residues might be on the dishes even if they are not visible.

INFO: My dishes are not heavily soiled and I often wash with fewer dishes than a full load. I get this on the quick wash and on the full wash.

CHEMICALS: I use a detergent only tablet (Tesco Value tablet) along with Finish Diamond rinse aid in the machine’s dispenser. These are the same chemicals I normally use and I haven’t noticed the streaks until about a month ago.

Do I need to vary rinse aid and/or water hardness setting?

Either set wrongly could give the symptoms you describe. The rinse aid compartment is best set in the mid position. The salt setting normal position is setting 4 on your machine.

Better not to be too concerned over the streaks on the door though rather than insuring those streaks aren’t repeated on the crockery and glassware? The latter being the best test as to the effective settings on rinse aid and salt.
