Stupid Wife Dismissing husband as usual

Hi everyone,Have a Bosch Series 6 Washing Machine which has worked great for 18 months.Today I’ve done 3 loads of washing no problem as usual.Then my wife decides to wash a rug,It went through the washing process fine and then I noticed that the timer kept going back and forth from 15 mins to 26 mins for about an hour and realised that it wasn’t draining.After working out it wasn’t going to drain I paused it and turned the power off.Started the manual draining so we can get the rug out of the drum and it came out in a trickle when I expected it to come out much faster,checked and cleaned the drain pump thing at the front which was almost spotless.What does that mean in regards of a blockage.Told her not to put in in by the way!!!

the blockage will be in the hose from the pump to the drum. probably in the eco ball at the base of the tub
