ParticipantHas anybody got anything, good or bad, to say about Swan fridges? They seem to be made in the UK, sell through catalogues a lot and also make pharmacy fridges. Thanks

KeymasterI couldn’t find out that much about them online but don’t assume that because pharmacy fridges are sold under the same name that it’s the same company. 😉
From what I can see of them, although the pictures aren’t that great, they look to be Chinese Haier produced machines and that kinda fits with the prices offered.

Thanks for looking and replying, K. I also suspect they must be Chinese because there is absolutely no business information about a Swan company in the UK, also the prices are very low. Manual defrost, too, which is getting rare.

They look like they are LEC fridges… if they are they should be quite good for the money.July 28, 2006 at 9:13 am #183379MKR

Swan as in teasmade people? As I recall they were part of Moulinex Group & when they went bust they were sold. They (Swan) are a company that is now owned by Littlewoods Home Shopping. (Shop Direct Group Ltd) & I am given to understand they source their goods from various Manufacturers in the Peoples Republic of Honk Ping. (China/Far East) . I only know this because my sister has a Swan small Chest Freezer. She has had it for about 4yrs and it has never let her down. The only thing is that operational led light went off 10 days after she bought it, but it is still freezing the fish fingers.
Hope that helps. – WQ
