Can anyone help me find a Swanmaid Dishwasher, manufactured by Bulpitt & Sons in Winson Street in Birmingham in the 1960’s. They were swallowed up by the french giant (at that time) Moulinex who (to cut a long story short) systematically shut the whole long established business (since 1922) in Birmingham down and made hundreds of long serving, loyal workers redundant. 🙁

Bulpitt sold thousands of these Swanmaid dishwashers over many successful years, so there must be a few classic examples around???

Please let me know if you have any information for me, thanks! 🙂

    I can’t help find a Swanmaid Dishwasher.

I can remember repairing them. Used a perspex temporary door to check the water pattern from the jets etc. And they had a great big solenoid that pulled down the outlet hose for draining under gravity.

Life was a lot easier in them days.

I did an apprentiship as an electrician in 1964, 😳 can’t remember why we had to repair Swanmaids :rolls:
