If you cannot feel the button depressing them the button switch is knackered, if it does press in but wont change the settings then it is usualy because the oven mains has been switched off which will bring up stop” in the display when switched back on. To get it to move off stop the main oven selector switch has to be in the off position and what i wrote above applies.
If the button switch is jammed post up the 12nc number which is on the r/h side of the door frame and I will get you the part number. 12nc number starts with 85….. and is 12 digits long.

Thanks again for taking an interest in my proplem John. The button does depress but it wont come off stop. The number you asked for is 854183815020. In the last three weeks it as been acting up by not coming off stop, but with patience I have got it to work. Now it wont work at all. One further question if you could answer it for me please is when we finish with the oven we switch it off at the mains is this the right thing to do or should we just leave it on the neautral button at all times.

John I have took the cooker to bits, cleanend the parts and put them back together and guess what? it is working. Thanks for the advice, but would still like to know if it is best to leave the cooker switched on rather than taking it off at the mains.

just leave it on otherwise you will need to set the clock every time you use it.

Hi John, Geordie lad,
I have the same issue, do you know if it is easy to take aprt and fix / clean? The oven turns on fine and I can press the button in ok but nothing happens.
Many thanks,
