t/bendix aw1001 not starting

hi,you can select program ok,then press start,the wash and start light lite up,with in secounds tho the lights go out an end light is lit,which flashes 4 times,im off to try a interlock but not confident thatl fix it

Error E40s are door interlock related. Check cabling connections to p.c.b & interlock.

If no luck with lock, check for low insulation / damp. Try with motor unplugged.
