Hi
End light flashing 5 times indicates that there is a fault with the motor or board.
Have you been able to get into the dianostic mode to get the full code?Check for low resistance on the motor between casing and terminals (carbon build up)
If the motor reads fine then could be the module.
E51 motor triac short circuit – check motor and module
E52 no signal from motor taco – check motor wiring and module
E53 sensing circuit on triac faulty – check module
E54 motor relay contacts sticking – check as E52Hope this helps

geoff
can i jump on the band wagon and get the info from you please?
i sold a tricity bendix aw1202w to a very good friend. 2 weeks out of warranty the spider in the sealed drum broke. i asked electrolux for some good will and was ploitely told to p off.
recently i replaced the entire tub from a donor machine. friend has done quite a few washes but now:select any cycle and after a couple of seconds the light jumps to END with the pump running and at no time has the door locked.
i don’t have a copy of faultcodes cos my tds disk is just too old.
i hai’m trying to ve tried a different lock
i have metered the heater and checked insulation.
i have fitted a different thermistor (original reading only 4k)
i have checked carbons and motor insulation.
i have removed board and checked for burn marks. (none)i really want to sort this for my mate. i have not charged a penny nor will i to fix this. i’m doing it for the good will that should have come from manufacturer.
thanks

Hi Keith
Nothing as yet on these electronics but if you follow the below and give me the fault code I can check for you
Machine Switched off on control panel
Hold in start/pause button and the nearest option button
While holding these two buttons in turn the programme dial 1 click clockwise
release buttons once lights begin to flash.
Turn selector another 9 clicks clockwise and end / start light will flash error code
first digit will be the number of times the red end light flashes and the second digit will be the number of times the green start light flashesHTH

Hi Geoff (and Keith !)… I went back to machine today and simply based on ur suggestion that it could be “Motor Based”, I reseated the brushes…. And Guess What ! Cheers :-)))

ParticipantRe: T/Bendix AW1400W
Hi Keith
Fault code is E43 – problems with triac which actions the door lock
Check resistance readings between contacts 4 and 5 on door lock should be open circuit
check resistance readings between contacts 3 and 5 on door lock should be the resistive value of ptc.
these numbers are printed on door lock
follow cable up to board (I think it is 3 grey cables that go to top left hand side)Looking down on plug measure between left and cable and middle cable reading should be open circuit. Measure between two outer cables and this reading should be the same reading for PTC.
This will prove circuit from module to door lock.If these readings are ok it is probable that module is faulty
Hope this helps – let me know

thanks for that.
i won’t get back until next week. I have already tried a new lock so i’ll check cables for continuity. If it is the triac i’ll solder in another and see what happens.I take it that the fault codes for this are the same as per my now out of date tds disc.

Yes I would say code are roughly the same.
red light is first number and green light is second number. You can try triac but it may be circuit feeding it that is causing problem.
Good luck
Geoff
