Bit of a mystery this one. I’ve had a browse on the internet but can’t even find the make and model of machine, let alone a supplier for spares!

It’s a Taurus Proxima TLV 1260ES (other numbers on the back plate are ‘NIF A08115800’ and ‘20060300114-995505000-11-02’)

I suspect the machine is still in warranty as I’m guessing the 200603… means it was manufactured in March 2006. The owner, however, wants me to fix it so there’s something not quite right somewhere. :rolls:

The bearing housing has sheared off the pressed steel back plate so I need a back plate. I assume it comes complete with a new bearing. I’d also like to fit a new back plate seal (not much sense re-using old ones) and may as well fit a new belt at the same time.

    Any suggestions for parts suppliers?

This a Spanish clone of a Servis automatic. If you can find the original receipt for the product it may pay you to call DAD on 01452 504084 who were the UK distributor. Service was carried out by GB DAR but I believe that they no longer carry out this work for Taurus.

200603 is code for machines manufactured in week 3 of 2006.
it may still be under warranty though it would be worth finding a receipt or going back to where you purchased it.
taurus parts are almost impossible to get hold off.

This machine is under warranty as they were sold with a three year warranty.

Go back to the retailer or DAD as suggested above and it will be exchanged.
